A Little Appreciation for the Cotton Suit

These days men continue to get more casual in their day-to-day dress. Most companies have relaxed their dress codes to the lowest level of formality that we have ever seen. For the guy that aims to dress well, in spite of the trend, it's getting tough out there. Well, let us introduce you to your new favorite thing to wear: the cotton suit.

The cottons suit checks two major boxes for career men in this age- casualness and versatility. In the photo above, we've paired this brilliant navy cotton suit (Solbiati) with a plain white sneaker, with a classic silhouette. The result is a combination that is modern, timeless, and fits perfectly in the new age of menswear.

Works for Most Occasions

Now take the photo above, and compare it with the previous photo-- styled like this, the suit fits in all but the most formal events. Sure, you wouldn't try to pull this off at a board of directors meeting for a bank, but the cotton is so refined, most wouldn't know it's not wool. The leather loafers and silk tie help elevate this suit to the appropriate level of dressy.
Need more versatility? The cotton suit works great for all but the coldest months of the year; just layer it with heavier shirts or a sweater. But, probably the biggest bonus to a cotton suit is the ability to split up the jacket and trousers. The trousers work great paired with a sport coat or blazer, and the jacket looks awesome with jeans and a polo, popover, or buttondown shirt.
Need more convincing? Cotton suits are also ideal for vegans and other conscientious buyers.
