For February, our featured cloth makes a great intermediate suit or sport coat. What does that mean? Its brushed texture and blue hue, make it the perfect suit for the late winter/early spring months.
Make no mistake, the pattern on the suit is not for the timid, but it does open up wardrobe possibilities-- the jacket can function quite well as a sport coat. We pair it with light grey chinos or wool trousers, but it because of the shade of blue, it also looks great with raw or dark wash denim.
This stunning cloth from the Italian mill Guabello is made of 94% wool and 6% silk. The weave is an interesting plaid with a zigzag pattern, overlaid by a navy windowpane, and a red and light blue shadow pane. The brushed wool finish combined with the silk in the cloth give it a unique softness and subtle sheen.
Choose a two piece suit with full canvas construction for $1445 or a sport coat for $1014. This cloth also makes a wonderful odd waistcoat ($432) when paired with a navy blazer.
