Wool Blends: You CAN Have it All

Where does a man turn when he wants a summer jacket or suit, but he feels that cotton can be a bit heavy and wrinkly, and linen is WAY too wrinkly?

A man can turn to the wool/silk/linen blend.

Works for Most Occasions

Just look at the texture, in the photo above. This texture is what we call "slub," and it's created by mixing raw silk and linen in with the wool. These blends give the incredible look of the slub, but with enough wool to help prevent the wrinkling that can be a turn off for many guys.

The feel can vary, depending on how much of each material is used, from quite "dry" (like linen), to more of a "wet" hand with higher quantity and more refined wool (A S130s wool vs a S110 wool). The photo below features more of this "dry" hand.

Like cotton and linen, these blends work wonderfully dressed up, or more casually. We love them paired with a popover or a linen, denim, or chambray shirt.

Beckett & Robb carries blended cloth from the best makers in the world- Vitale Barberis Canonico, Holland & Sherry, Loro Piana, and Zegna. Schedule an appointment now to take a look at these great cloths for yourself.
