About
Why This Exists

I started Beckett & Robb in 2009, out of frustration. I had bought enough suits by then to know that made to measure was promising something it kept falling short of. The idea is a garment cut for you. What arrived was too often an approximation with your measurements attached. I wanted to build the version that delivered on it.
We started in Utah and we are still here. Not for a business reason — for the lifestyle, and the mountains. There are four shops now: Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle and Boise.
The longer work was finding the right people to make things. We work with mills, factories and workshops across Europe, and we go and see them. Partly because you cannot judge a workshop over email. Mostly because the people who do this properly are serious about it in a way that is difficult not to catch, and we come home with ideas.
Quality over quantity. Craft over speed. Classical styling over trend. Sixteen years on, that is still the whole of it.
